Where I was? Well, you know that -- same place as everyone else in Australia. Which wasn't the first place we were told, you remember? When the Boov announced Moving Day, we were getting the north-west coast, then when the Day rolled around it was "We have been hearing of your Monkeys of Dolphin Mia, so we will be keeping the coast and you--"
Sorry, getting off track. So, the cats. Mate, I tell you, that was really something...
Wait, is that the time? I gotta go -- it's my shift at the animal shelter. I'll tell you next time, okay?

(Incidentally, if you are at all interested in Smekday, you should visit the web site of the real Smekday Memory Project.)

(And having carefully avoided looking before I'd finished writing mine, I have discovered that there's a really nice "Smekday from a non-American viewpoint" story on AO3, from last year's Yuletide. If you haven't seen it already, it's the one titled Scotch Corner (Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Boov).)
