In the book, the duel is pistols at dawn. In the anime, it's swords. Wielded by humungous mecha.

Of course it is. I don't know how I could ever have supposed otherwise.

True, it isn't. Though I don't think either exotic weapons or ki powers would have been quite right, in the way that sword-wielding mecha were.

It wasn't actually a complaint. :)
