I've read "The Eagle of the Ninth", of course. It I got through without any trouble (I have a feeling that, like the Arthurian books you mention, it's aimed at a younger audience than "Sword at Sunset").
I'd noticed that they shared a setting, more or less, but I didn't know there was a series and it hadn't occurred to me there might be actual shared characters or plot elements.
