This post made me smile. I had never thought to name them as monsters, but now that you come to mention it, it's perfect! And the notion of putting them into a colouring book is perfect too. The 'PUHleeeeeeze, everyone else is doing the thing you want to do better than you ever could so why even bother - really why are you still even thinking about this' monster has been particularly energetic of late. If it's been giving you a hard time as well, it's a wonder it doesn't spread itself too thin.
