Specifics

Best/worst title?
I don't know that any of them particularly stand out. "You'd Swear The Dice Were Doing It On Purpose" is a riff on a line from the original, but I don't know if anyone would notice that without it being pointed out.

Best/worst summary?
The summary for "The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner" is definitely the one that makes me happiest.

Best first line?
I'm not sure the question can be usefully applied; one out of three is from a prompting meme where the first line was provided by the prompter, and in the second of the three it's just a direct quote from the scene it's riffing on.

Best last line?
Probably "The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner". I like the ending of "You'd Swear The Dice Were Doing It On Purpose" in theory, but I have no idea how well it works in execution (which is kind of how I feel about the fic as a whole, really).

General questions:

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?
I think by now I've learned not to make predictions. I had hoped that I'd get more inspiration out of 3SF, which was pretty fertile the first year I tried it. On the other hand, getting "The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner" finished was pretty big, and involved a lot more writing than the final wordcount might suggest.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted last year?
The closest I can get to an answer is that I wouldn't have expected to write for "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" before I was prompted, but that took several years to turn around so technically I already knew I was working on it last year.

What's your favourite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest.
"The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner" gives me the satisfaction of a tricky job done well. The other two started out with ideas I liked, but I'm not sure about how well they turned out.

Okay, NOW your most popular story.
"Like falling off a log, only perpendicular" has the most kudos, but I suspect that might be because it's in an active fandom. "The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner" edges it out if we measure by kudos per hit. There's nothing to choose between them for number of comments.

Story most underappreciated by the universe?
I don't think I can make that claim for any of them.

Story that could have been better?
As usual, I'm inclined to say "all of them", with the possible exception, this year, of "The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner".

Sexiest story?
Not applicable.

Saddest story?
I mean, "The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner" is going for a lighthearted tone but it does still have all the deaths from the original.

Most fun?
*shrug*

Story with single sweetest moment?
Not sure any of them qualify.

Hardest story to write?
"The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner", for the technical constraints. (And I suppose because it's the only one that's a complete story and not just a scene fragment.)

Easiest/most fun story to write?
"You'd Swear The Dice Were Doing It On Purpose"

Most overdue story?
"The Limericks of the Ancient Mariner" didn't have a formal deadline, but the original prompt was in 2019...

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
No.

This year's theme and the story that demonstrates it most:
*shrug*

What are your fic writing goals for next year?
As always, write something. Actually, I do have a specific goal; I've committed to this being the year I either finally finish [redacted] or admit that it's not going anywhere.
