On the bright side

After about a week of "Possible thunderstorm" type forecasts, the clouds opened up this evening. Rain poured down (the garden sighed with relief), the temperature and humidity approached something comfortable (I sighed with relief), ...

... and then the power went out.

When I'd watched the storm for a while, and decided I didn't particularly feel like trying to do by torchlight the things I'd planned to do under full power, it occurred to me that one thing I could do very well in these circumstances was take a nap. So I set the alarm clock for half an hour, lay down, closed my eyes...

... and at that very moment, the lights came back on.
