It's not long until I'll be off to spend Christmas with the family, which means I won't be around the computer much until next week.

So here are some neat links that will be less appropriate when I get back:

Winter Solstice, Camelot Station. A poem by John M. Ford, describing King Arthur's court gathering for Christmas. It's not what I expected from the title (reading [livejournal.com profile] scarfman's work has given me strong associations for "Camelot Station", which in this case are inappropriate), but it's utterly fabulous.

Tim Minchin explains why, despite "all of the usual objections", he really likes Christmas. In song.

Simon's Cat discovers snow.

Close harmony a capella group Sixteen Feet attempts "The Twelve Days of Christmas"; half the group quickly loses track of which day they're up to -- and then which song they're singing...

Best of the season to you (whichever season you celebrate); or if this time of year is nothing special for you, I hope you're not being too badly irritated or inconvenienced by the rest of us. In any case, I wish you a safe and joyful whatever-it-is.
