Spreading the word:

Until May 24, the multi-award-winning puzzle game Portal has been made available for free. (PC or Mac)

Considering it's well worth the price they usually charge for it, this is a pretty good deal.

(It's a fairly transparent attempt to get even more people hooked on the game by the time the sequel comes out, but never mind that. It's free Portal!)

Plus using the Steam system and therefore possibly getting other games. But y'know. I have no problem with that. I have Portal! (and no time to play it until the weekend. But I have it)

I have to go through the list of Mac-ported Steam games and see if any of them look worth getting. Portal is a puzzle game, so of no interest to me (I hate the puzzle sections of even console RPGs) but if there's a Neverwinter Nights type game...

I haven't played Neverwinter Nights, so my estimation of "Neverwinter Nights type" may be off, but I notice Torchlight is going cheap for the next few days.
