...and that, o best beloved, is the story of how ineptitude from both the telephone company and the internet company turned a routine changeover into three whole weeks without internet.

So. Anything interesting happen while I was out?

Oh no, how frustrating! Glad you've got it back, though. :-)

Yikes. O_O I'd be a nervous wreck.

I moved house! :D I'm in the same little town in Arizona, but I'm renting a trailer, and after two weeks I'm starting to get a bit settled in - there's internet and hot water and a working "swamp cooler" (which is apparently like air conditioning but older and more physics-based and not as good), and I got the cockroaches out of the bathtub and I have lasagna makings in the fridge and a bed that is not an airbed, and we brought my punching bag over and put it in the teeny tiny yard but then the hanger straps broke, so I need a new one (I needed a heavier one anyway).

Everything's everywhere all over the floor, because moving, but I'm working on clearing it up and putting it away. Oh, and! I got the paperwork about the other half of my inheritance a couple weeks ago, I should be getting the money sometime before the end of the month (hopefully *fingers crossed* ;P), so I can stop freaking out about the fact that eBay selling takes too many spoons for me to pay the bills by it. :D YAY MONEYS.

Also I found out that if I take a couple of summer classes I can finish my two-year college degree this December! :D So I'm going to do that (I need to sign up for classes as soon as my check comes in, because they screwed up my financial aid badly enough last fall that I'm planning to just pay tuition out of pocket), and then I'm planning to probably move up to Tucson or potentially Phoenix where there are actual jobs. Ain't nothing in a town of five thousand people here, and not much in the town of forty thousand people a half hour away.

...I guess I didn't even notice it was a new month, or I'd've wondered where your fiction log post was. :S

Argh! Three weeks without the internet ought to count as mental cruelty. The telephone I wouldn't miss, though! It amazes me how inept these companies still manage to be, when you consider how much practice they must all have by now.
