Argh! Three weeks without the internet ought to count as mental cruelty. The telephone I wouldn't miss, though! It amazes me how inept these companies still manage to be, when you consider how much practice they must all have by now.

I should say that I wasn't completely without internet - I did have a bit of access at work, for one thing - but needed to be prioritized and it did make it hard to keep up with things like LJ. (And, on the other hand, I've found that there were things about the internet that I didn't really miss, so at least I learned something.)
