I put my iPod on shuffle and post the first lines of 25 songs. Spoken word tracks and instrumentals are skipped, but spoken words in instrumentals aren't.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is then to identify the songs without the aid of search engines.

On this occasion, I've elected to also skip any song in which the first line contains the title, and any song that would result in two songs in a row by the same artist. The list does, however, include a single song twice (not consecutively) in two different renditions by the same artist, because they start in different places in the song.

I also skipped "Nanibali" by Solo Cissokho, because I don't know the language and couldn't make out the words, and the internet was no help.

If the song is preceded by stage banter, or begins with "la la la"s, those have been ignored.

#02 Simon & Garfunkel: The Boxer
#22 Roy Orbison: Crying
#25 Isn't that rather a give away?! Although maybe that's not the exact title. And I can't remember who sang it anyway...

#25 is from My Fair Lady I'm fairly sure. Is it also #17?

But then my brain also suggests #19 is from that also.

Darnit, I instantly recognised a lot of the ones that are already got.

Is 21 "I am a Rock" by Simon & Garfunkel?

And 25 is "Get Me to the Church On Time" which I think is from My Fair Lady.

Oh, swordznsorcery already identified it as from My Fair Lady, so I'm definitely right, but I probably only get half a point...
