The day before yesterday I went to the gym for the first time in two months. Today I have aches in muscles I'd forgotten I had. So of course I went to the gym again. It was only the sensible thing to do.

They timed the end of Batman Inc. well: the last issue marks the point at which I've officially lost patience with this storyline.

One of life’s little mysteries: The light on my bedside table sometimes seems to turn itself on, apparently without human intervention.

Solved: As I reach blindly for the alarm clock's snooze button, I sometimes find the light switch first. Today I was awake enough to notice.

My finger just slipped and wiped out everything in my email inbox. Whee. You'd think there'd be an "Are you sure?" for something like that.

Gosh, I'm thick. I've only just realised: the current Batwoman is the present-day version of the animated series' future Batman, isn't she?

Bought myself a new belt, to celebrate being too narrow now for the old one.

Got home, and realised I still have the older belt I stopped using because I'd become too wide for it.

The new belt will still be useful for dressy occasions; the old belt is a bit... old.

Noted without comment: Last week's Doctor Who led to about a dozen reaction posts on my friendslist. This week, two.

[ETA: I went to my friendslist to confirm this had posted and there, confessing its tardiness, was a third. Nevertheless.]

[ETA: I knew I'd probably compressed this too far for reliable comprehension, but I have a bad habit of ignoring my own good advice. Please refer to the comment thread for a clarificiation.]

I'm in IT, but I've always avoided working tech support. I don't want to spend all day having phone conversations like the one I just had.

Inside a week, I've seen films starring both of the leads from Son of Rambow. I should watch Son of Rambow itself one of these days.

So, Tron Legacy: better effects, more elaborate and better-paced action sequences,¹ still pretty ridiculous.

I won't say it wasn't fun, though.

¹ Two things that feed off each other. I noticed in re-watching the original that the action sequences often felt like they were being held back by what the effects were capable of. This is not a problem in the new film.

It's been nigh on a decade since I last saw Tron. The passing of time has not made it noticeably less ridiculous.
